Headshot Photo Session
You chose my headshot photography services for one or more reasons, you were referred by a client, you read reviews, you liked the photos on my website or your company uses my services for their headshot photography needs.
Your session is more than a photoshoot. My goal is for you to have a strong yet natural looking headshot. We have a short consultation to inform you about how the session is conducted and for me to hear your vision for your headshot. During the photoshoot I direct you and try a variety of expressions. As I photograph you, I have a sense of which expressions work or do not work for you. Read our blog Experienced Headshot Photographer.

Choosing Your Headshot
I help my clients choose their headshot(s); this decision was the result of over 30 years of experience in business portraits and headshot photography. I always remind my clients that people looking at your headshot do not know you, I recommend they choose accordingly. I let them know that people want to see them as a professional who is confident, knowledgeable, approachable and energetic. When we narrow your photos to the best 4 or 5, it is time that they choose their favorite(s). Of course if they still need my opinion I am here to help. Read my blog on how to choose your headshot. Most of my in studio headshot photography packages include basic retouching. I retouch your headshots with you present during the session, this gives me insight as to what is important for your final headshot. Farming the work out to someone else has never been an option for me. You are happier with your headshot when you visually see the work that is being done. Of course, you have input and ask questions.
Once the retouching has been completed to your satisfaction (remember it is your headshot and not mine), I can go ahead and give you different resolutions of the photo(s) so that you are able to use it for printing, email and website uploads.

Over the years we kept up to date with technology that has come along with digital and headshot photography. The last couple of years I have been transferring photos from my camera wirelessly into my computer. This allows me to show my clients how their photos look immediately, giving them a chance to express themselves to make modifications if needed. I also upgrade my camera regularly to capture the best photos possible.
I currently use at least 4 different software programs during your session. Case Remote, Adobe Bridge, Photoshop and Portrait Pro. I continue to research new programs that will help me improve my photography and retouching. Visit our Portfolio Page.
